IT IS NO SECRET – THE LIFE AND INSPIRATION OF REVEREND CLAY EVANS
Known as Chicago's “pastor of pastors”, Dr. Reverend Clay Evans' impact has reached far beyond the walls of Chicago's Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, the church he founded in 1950. Reverend Evans (1925 - 2019) was as a leader in the Civil Rights movement, an award-winning Gospel Music artist, a trailblazer in broadcast ministry, and a mentor to many other ministers. This short documentary interweaves oral history interviews, archival photos, What a Fellowship Hour broadcasts, and Gospel choir performances into a celebration of a legendary spiritual leader. Not only is Ines an absolute joy to collaborate with, but she is a remarkably talented filmmaker! The Arts & Business Council of Chicago had a last minute need for a promotional video and she was able to work quickly and efficiently to deliver fantastic results. Her rich understanding of artists and the arts community played an integral role in shaping the piece. Throughout the collaboration, Ines’ vision and direction were on point. I look forward to the opportunity of working with Ines again. Hyde Park Day School engaged Sommer Filmworks to create a video celebrating our fifteenth anniversary to be shown at our annual Gala. Ines worked beautifully with our students, parents and staff to produce an uplifting video that had warmth, humor and poignancy. We were very pleased with the outcome. |
